Description: Bosmans (2006a: 139, figs 153–158).
New records: Aveiro: Dunas de São Jacinto NR, 1 female, spring 2003, A. C. Rufino leg (IMAR). Bragança: Douro Internacional NP, Fonte d’Aldeia , 1 male, 7.III.2001 (CPC). Leiria: Serras de Aire e Candeeiros NP, Bezerra, 2 females, Quercus faginea woodland, 10.II.2006 (CLC). Lisboa: Monsanto, mixed woodland forest, 17 males 14 females, 23.XII–2. IV.2005, A. Rebelo leg. ( CAR, CLC, CRB) .
Distribution: Recently described from several mountain chains in Algeria. The present localities are the first ones in Europe.
Habitat type: Different types of woodland.
Phenology: In Algeria, this recently described species was collected from February to May (Bosmans, 2006). In Portugal, it was collected from December to April.
