Description: Wiehle (1956: 227, figs 376–380), Roberts (1987: 114, figs 56a, 58a).
New records: Coimbra : Paúl de Arzila NR, 24 males 45 females, 20.XI.2005 – 23.X.2006, 21 males 49 females, 28.V.2008 (CLC). Santarém: Paúl do Boquilobo NR, Torres Novas, montado, 15 males 6 females, 6.II–2.V.2002; Torres Novas, salgueiral, 36 males 20 females, 13.II–5.XI.2002 (CPC) .
Distribution: Palearctic. First record in Portugal.
Habitat type: In Spain very common in caves ( Ribera 1979), but in Portugal it was only found in marshes .
Phenology: Present during most of the year but more common from October to May.
