Description: Millidge (1981: 264, figs 9, 16, 21, 24).

Previous records: Porto: Foz do Douro ( Simon 1898; Bacelar 1928). The material should be verified, because only after the revision of Millidge (1981), the Mediterranean Gonatium species could be clearly diagnosed.

Distribution: South-western Europe.

Habitat type and phenology: Unknown in Portugal .
