Description: Bosmans (1985a: 153, figs 6d–f), Thaler (1986: 322, figs 31–35, 39–46).
Previous records: Lisboa: Tapada de Mafra ( Telfer et al. 2003) .
New records: Bragança: Douro Internacional NP, Mogadouro, Bruçó , 1 male, 3.X.2001 (CPC); Freixo de Espada à Cinta, Picotino, 3 females 7.II–3.III.2001, 8 males, 17.X–28.XI.2001 (CPC) .
Distribution: Europe, North Africa. A species with a much scattered distribution, in the Iberian Peninsula with only one record from the region of Lisboa ( Telfer et al. 2003). Two new localities in the north of Portugal are added here.
Habitat type: Prefers mostly closed, damp forests.
Phenology: A winter species, adults found from October to March.
