Hypomma cornutum (Blackwall, 1833)

Description: Wiehle (1960: 299, figs 545–552), Roberts (1987: 46, figs 14b, 17b).

Previous records: Coimbra: Coimbra ( Bertkau 1893; Bacelar 1928).

New records: Coimbra : Paúl de Arzila NR, 8 males 25 females, 11.V.2008, L. Crespo et al. leg. (CLC, CRB) .

Distribution: Palearctic, but uncommon in the Mediterranean region. Recollected in the same region after more than one hundred years with no records for the country.

Habitat type: In Portugal, the species was found at the border of a marsh .

Phenology: In Portugal collected once in May. In Central Europe, it is adult in early summer ( Heimer & Nentwig 1991).
