Centromerita concinna (Thorell, 1875) View in CoL

Description: Wiehle (1956: 80, figs 129–133) and Roberts (1987: 132, fig. 67c).

Previous records: Guarda: Seia, Lagoa Comprida ( Machado 1949). Machado (1949) states that the material from Portugal differs from the descriptions of Simon (1884) in being smaller and in having less spinous legs. This material should be re-examined to confirm the presence in Portugal.

Distribution: Europe.

Habitat type and phenology: Unknown in Portugal. In temperate Europe, the species is adult in winter ( Wiehle 1956) .

[ Centromerus cinctus ( Simon, 1884) ]

Cited from Portugal by Cardoso (2004). The specimens were re-examined and appeared to be Centromerus phoceorum (Simon) . Centromerus cinctus is deleted from the list of Portugal.
