Description: Bosmans (2007: 118, figs 1–5).
Previous records: None.
New records: Braga: Esposende, Ofir, 2 females, 16.IX.1982 (CJFM) . Faro: Vila Real de Santo António, Monte Gordo, 2 males, 18.IV.1971 (CJFM) .
Distribution: France, Italy and the Maghreb ( Bosmans 2007). First record for Portugal.
Habitat type: Mostly collected in marshy areas, in fresh as well as in salt water marshes along the coast ( Bosmans 2007).
Phenology: In the Maghreb, males were collected from December to April, females from January to August ( Bosmans 2007). In Portugal, the species is expected to be adult in winter as well.
