Remarks. No family diagnosis available. From the four European genera of the family ( Chelomideopsis Romijn, 1920 , Mundamella K.Viets, 1913 , Stygohydracarus K.Viets, 1932 , Phreatohydracarus Tanasachi & Orghidan, 1955 ) only larvae from two North American Chelomideopsis species are described, C. besselingi (Cook, 1961) (see Smith 1978) and C. brunsoni (Cook, 1955) (see Smith 1992).
