The specimens from the Muránska planina Plateau karst region are similar to D. kratochvili in dorsal pseudocellar formula, but differ in larger body size (2.4–2.7 mm), distinctly elongated claws (length/width ratio 3.3), lower number of vesicles in PAO (up to 14), 10 thickened chaetae (similar in shape as in D.kratochvili ) in MVO on Abd. II sternum and differentiated dorsal macrochaetae in form of long hair-like chaetae. The specimens probably represent a new troglobiotic species.

Material examined. Slovakia: Muránska planina Plateau , Bobačka Cave, “ Čapík ”, 2 specimens (1 female and 1 male), on bat guano, 5.x.2000, leg. Ľ. Kováč and P. Ľuptáčik ; “ Chodba tušenia” passage, 1 female, on surface of water pool, 9.v.2011, leg. Ľ. Kováč ; “ Final siphon”, 1 male, on surface of water, 9.v.2011, leg. V. Papáč .
