Remarks. Cresson (1865: 33) in one paper, on the same page described two species of Epimecis (= Acrotaphus ) from Cuba, E. fascipennis and E. fuscipennis . Gauld & Fernández-Triana (2010: 42) examined type of E. fuscipennis and provided its brief description, and recently the types of both Cuban species were re-described by Pádua et al. (2020a).

Distribution. USA (Florida), Cuba.

Biology. Reared from Neoscona arabesca (Walckenaer) ( Araneidae ) in Florida, USA ( Brambila & Porter 2005).
