Neobergrothista n gen.
Type species: Neobergrothista rotundiventris n. sp.
Diagnosis. This genus is erected for N. rotundipennis which shares similar structures of Bergrothista (head, antennae) but differs from this by its smaller size, ovate widely rounded abdomen, anterolateral angles of pronotum produced beyond collar; and by its granular surface of the body, its appendices without flat scales; and by the stridulatory file on vltg III which is larger and its surface finely striate without pegs, extending from the anterolateral angle to inner posterior angle of vltg III. Because the metathoracic scent gland canal is also well developed and visible, Neobergrothista n.gen should be placed in Mezirinae .
Etymology. From>neo<(Greek) new and Bergrothista the closest related genus.
