Type material. Holotype: CHINA: Zhejiang Prov.: ɗ, Suichang County, Jiulongshan, 500–700 m, 31.VII.2006, LI Jin-Wen & SHEN Shan-Jia leg.. Paratypes: CHINA: Zhejiang Prov.: Ψ, same data as holotype.
Description. Body length: 4.6–4.8 mm; forebody length: 2.6–2.9 mm.
Body ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1 – 12 ) elongate, reddish brown, with labrum and coxae reddish yellow, antennal segments (except for two basal ones), maxillary palpi and legs (except for coxae) yellow.
Head suborbicular, slightly longer than broad (length/width = 1.02); postocular portion 2.05 times as long as eye length; on disc intervals between punctures flat, not raised like carinae. Antennae slender, extending to middle of pronotum; relative length of each segment from 1 to 11: 31.0: 12.0: 19.5: 15.0: 14.0: 13.5: 12.5: 12.0: 12.0: 10.0: 16.0; relative width of each segment from 1 to 11: 11.0: 7.0: 5.5: 5.5: 5.5: 5.5: 5.5: 5.5: 5.5: 6.5: 7.5.
Pronotum convex and oval, longer than wide (length/width = 1.17), narrower (pronotum/head = 0.88) and longer (pronotum/head =1.01) than head; prosternum with strong longitudinal median carina not reaching its anterior margin. Elytra slightly shorter than wide (length/width = 0.96), distinctly shorter (elytra/pronotum = 0.81) and slightly narrower (elytra/pronotum = 0.99) than pronotum.
Abdomen without microsculpture.
Male. Seventh sternite ( Fig. 53 View FIGURES 53 – 57 ) simply rounded in middle of posterior margin; 8th sternite ( Fig. 54 View FIGURES 53 – 57 ) triangularly excised in middle of posterior margin. Aedeagus ( Figs. 55–57 View FIGURES 53 – 57 ) distinctly sclerotized; median lobe long, in dorsal view arcuately widened near apex, apex acute, in lateral view gradually narrowed apicad and slightly arcuated dorsad near apex; dorso-lateral apophyses in dorsal view each with a small inward projection at apical 1/3, in lateral view arcuated dorsad at apical 1/3, not reaching apex of median lobe.
Female. Seventh and 8th sternites simple.
Remarks. Nazeris jiulongshanus resembles N. yandangensis but can be easily distinguished from the latter by the following characters: the median carina of prosternum does not reach the anterior margin (in N. yandangensis the carina extends to the anterior margin); apex of median lobe of aedeagus acute in dorsal view ( Fig. 55 View FIGURES 53 – 57 ) (in N. yandangensis notched at apex).
Distribution. China (Zhejiang Prov.).
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the name of the type locality: Mt. Jiulongshan Nature Reserve.
