Description. Body length: 4.5–4.7 mm; forebody length: 2.4–2.7 mm.

Body ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 12 ) elongate, dark brown, with labrum, mandibles, coxae and two basal antennal segments reddish yellow; the remaining antennal segments, maxillary palpi and legs except for coxae yellow.

Head suborbicular, slightly longer than broad (length/width = 1.02); postocular portion 1.85 times as long as eye length; on disc intervals between punctures flat, not raised like carinae. Antennae slender, extending to middle of pronotum; relative length of each segment from 1 to 11: 16.0: 6.0: 10.0: 8.0: 7.5: 7.0: 7.0: 6.0: 6.0: 5.5: 8.0; relative width of each segment from 1 to 11: 5.0: 4.0: 3.0: 3.0: 3.0: 3.0: 3.0: 3.0: 3.0: 3.0: 3.5.

Pronotum convex and oval, longer than wide (length/width = 1.20), narrower (pronotum/head = 0.85) and longer (pronotum/head = 1.02) than head; prosternum with strong longitudinal median carina not reaching its anterior margin. Elytra slightly shorter than wide (length/width = 0.91), distinctly shorter (elytra/pronotum = 0.78) and slightly wider (elytra/pronotum = 1.04) than pronotum.

Abdomen without microsculpture.

Male. Seventh sternite ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 38 – 42 ) slightly prominent in middle of posterior margin; 8th sternite ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 38 – 42 ) shallowly and triangularly excised in middle of posterior margin. Aedeagus ( Figs. 40–42 View FIGURES 38 – 42 ) distinctly sclerotized; median lobe in dorsal view constricted at apical 1/3, widened in apical 1/4, V-shaped notched at apex, near middle with pair of small lateral processes; dorso-lateral apophyses in dorsal view dilated in basal 1/3 and apical 1/3, gradually dilated apically in lateral view, with apices obtuse and not reaching apex of median lobe.

Female. Seventh and 8th sternites simple.

Remarks. Nazeris nigritulus can be distinguished from N. rougemonti Ito, 1996 , another species distributed in Tianmushan and Longwangshan, by the following characters: abdominal segments without any microsculpture (in N. rougemonti with faint microsculpture on the 8th and on apical third of 7th tergite); male 7th sternite slightly prominent at middle in posterior margin ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 38 – 42 ) (in N. rougemonti slightly emarginate); median lobe of aedeagus in dorsal view with a V-shaped notch at apex ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 38 – 42 ) (in N. rougemonti without notch).

Distribution. China (Zhejiang Prov.).

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin word “ niger ” and refers to the blackish body colour and small size.
