Type material: Holotype ECOSUR 042 View Materials Off Herradura Point, Mexican Caribbean (18°32'23"N 87°44'32"W), 28.IX.1996. GoogleMaps
Diagnosis: Eyespots in two lateral groups of 2–3 brown eyespots; eleven short ventral shields from segment 1. Nephridial papillae not seen. Nineteen pairs of notopodia; notochaetae of two types, bilimbate capillaries equal-sized in segments 4–5, and of two lengths on segments 5–9; spinosphaera chaetae of two lengths, in segments 10–19. Pairs of neuropodia with uncini avicular in single rows on segments 5–10, in double rows on segments 11–75, in single rows on segments 76–82. Uncini MF:3:3–4:6–7. Pygidium with 5 papillae.
Staining pattern: Only ventral shields stain deeply. The remaining structures remain pale.
