Note: ― Spiranthes colorata var. maculata View in CoL was considered synonym of Stenorrhynchos speciosum View in CoL ( Jacquin 1790: 16, t. 600) Richard ex Sprengel (1826: 709) by some authors ( Garay 1978, Hamer 1985, Govaerts et al. 2010). However, both S. colorata var. maculata View in CoL and S. albidomaculatum View in CoL were originally described based on Colombian specimens and share the characteristic of presenting leaves with white macules, an attribute completely absent in S. speciosum View in CoL . Therefore, we propose this new synonym.
