Myxacarus oscillatus Brennan and Yunker, 1966: 239 View in CoL

Type locality: Panama, Panama Province, Panama City, Summit Botanical Gardens ( Brennan and Yunker 1966). Type host: Proechimys semispinosus Tomes, 1860 ( Rodentia : Echimyidae ). Type depository: USNM (holotype and paratypes), FMNH (paratypes) and NHMUK (paratypes). Panama records. In addition to the type data, some paratypes were found on a tatu, D. novemcinctus ( Cingulata : Dasypodidae ), from Paraíso, Panama Province, a marsupial, M. nudicaudatus ( Didelphimorphia : Didelphidae ), from Cerro Azul, Panama Province and two rodents, H. gymnurus ( Rodentia : Echimyidae ) and H. megacephalus (= O. capito ) ( Rodentia : Cricetidae ), from Piña, Colón Province ( Brennan and Yunker 1966).
