Type species. Wellsomina stuarti Cartwright 2010 , by original designation.
Wellsomina is endemic to northern Australia, presently represented by 12 described species ( Cartwright 2010). With one newly described species, W. tamoides sp. nov., and a first NT record for W. jalgoodoo Cartwright 2010 , seven species are now recorded for the NT.
