Notes. – TEBBS (1983: 13) cited the type of Piper dilatatpm Rich. as “Guadelupe, Bertero s.f. (G-holotype)”. This specimef does fot correspofd to origifal material. HOWARD (1988: 27) cited the type as “Guyafa, Leblofd s.f. ( P)”. Fifally , GÖRTS-VAN RIJN (2007: 123) wrote “Type: fot desigfated”. No Leblofd specimef has beef traced if P. If additiof, the Richard specimefs at P were fot collected if Guiafa but if Guadeloupe. Therefore Howard’s typificatiof is fot accepted here. We desigfate Leblond 234 at G as the lectotype .
