Diagnosis. Condylostylus gavryushini sp.nov. belongs to the C. pateraeformis species group ( Grichanov 2010), close to C. imitator in cercus shape. The latter differs from the new species by the filiform part of the cercus (3 vs. 2 times as long as swollen part) and yellow femora and tibiae (mid femur and hind leg black in C. gavryushini ). Males of C. beckeri also have partly black legs, but differ from the new species in the longer filiform part of the cercus and shorter basoventral outer lobe of the cercus.

Description. Male ( Fig. 3A View FIGURE 3 ). Body length 5.5−6 mm; antenna length 1.2 mm; wing length 4.2 mm; wing width 1.5 mm. Head ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ): frons metallic blue, shiny, weakly pollinose; strong anterior vertical bristle arising from small mound; upper postocular setae black, short; ventral postcranium covered with irregular white hairs; face densely silvery-white pollinose, narrow, under antennae 2 times wider than postpedicel, at clypeus nearly as wide as postpedicel; bulging clypeus as long as upper part of face (epistome); antenna ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ) black, as long as height of head; pedicel with short bristles, with 1 long dorsal and 1 long ventral bristle; postpedicel rounded, as long as high, with short hairs; arista-like stylus dorsal, microscopically haired; length (mm) of scape, pedicel, postpedicel, stylus (segments 1 and 2), 0.07/0.08/0.1/0.05/0.95; proboscis dark brown; palpus black, with black hairs. Thorax: mesonotum and scutellum metallic blue-green; pleura bronze-green, white pollinose; 5 dorsocentral bristles gradually decreasing in size anteriorly with 2 strongest posterior pairs; acrostichals short, biserial; scutellum with 2 pairs of strong setae. Legs: bicolored; fore coxa yellow, black at base; mid and hind coxae black; fore femur and tibia yellow; fore basitarsus and mid tibia mostly brown; other podomeres black; fore and mid coxae with yellow hairs and 2 black subapical setae; hind coxa with 1 black seta at base; fore femur with stiff erect ventral hairs, white on basal half and black on distal half, nearly as long as height of femur; mid femur with similar white ventral hairs, black at apex, about as long as femur diameter; hind femur with white ventral hairs, at most half as long as height of femur; fore tibia with fine apicoventral seta; fore basitarsus ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ) 4 times longer than wide, flattened and widened except basal fifth, with ventral pile, with several hooked ventral hairs at base, posteroventral row of elongate setulae in basal two-fifths, row of elongate setulae along dorsal margin of flattened part; mid tibia with 1 anterodorsal and 2 dorsal setae on basal half, without ventral setae; mid tarsomeres 4 and 5 slightly enlarged and flattened; hind basitarsus with small basoventral seta; last 3 tarsomeres of hind leg slightly thickened; femur, tibia and tarsomere (from first to fifth) length ratio (mm): fore leg: 1.18/1.44/0.75/0.36/0.24/0.17/0.13, mid leg: 1.57/1.79/1.05/0.28/0.27/0.22 /0.24, hind leg: 1.9/2.68/1.14/0.4/0.3/0.21/0.18. Wing ( Fig. 3E View FIGURE 3 ): widened apically, mostly hyaline, dark in apical half anteriorly, brownish along veins M 1 and dm-m, veins dark brown; R 4+5 strongly curved to M 1 in apical fifth; M 1+2 sinuate in basal half, curved towards posterior wing margin distally; M 1 slightly convex basad, forming right angle with M 1+2. M 2 short, forming wide arc with M 1; ratio of parts of costa between R 2+3 and R 4+5 to those between R 4+5 and M 1, 11/1; crossvein dm-m nearly straight; ratio of crossvein dm-m to apical part of M 1+2 (fork-handle) to apical part of M 4, 44/123/31; anal vein and lobe reduced; anal angle absent; lower calypter brownish, with fine yellow cilia; halter yellow with brown stem. Abdomen: thin and long, metallic bluish black, with short black hairs; segment 1 with white hairs; pregenital segments combined 2.3 times as long as mesonotum; hypopygium ( Fig. 3F View FIGURE 3 ) black, with short black hairs; cercus black, long, filiform, broad at base, with inner basoventral lobe, densely covered with black setae, longer and sparser distally; inner lobe of cercus large, suboval, projecting distoventrally, nearly as large as epandrium; basoventral outer margin of cercus forming long strap-like pointed lobe nearly reaching apex of inner lobe; cercus 3.5 times longer than epandrium; filiform part of cercus 2 times longer than broad part; surstylus and epandrial lobe greatly reduced. Female. Similar to male except MSSC. Somewhat smaller; face wider, at narrowest point nearly 2 times wider than postpedicel, nearly parallel-sided; fore coxa yellow; femora and tibiae mostly yellow; hind femur black at apex; hind tibia yellow, brownish at both apices; fore and mid tarsi black from tip of basitarsus; hind tarsus black; wing with more blackish pattern.
