The Bromeloecia winnemana View in CoL species group
Diagnosis. This species group is defined by the following characters: male S5 with dark sclerotized band arching across from side to side anteriorly; surstylus usually simple with few short scattered setulae; male hind tarsomeres 3, 4 and 5 usually with additional process(es), protuberance(s) or long seta(e) (Figs. 24.1–24.6); female cerci usually narrowly contiguous, long and slender with unmodified setae.
This species group, known mostly from southern United States of America and Mexico, includes three described species ( B. seltzeri , B. tarsiglossa and B. winnemana ) and approximately 15 undescribed species. The B. winnemana group is treated as a single operational taxonomic unit here, and will be fully revised in a later paper.
