Syspira jimmyi Brescovit, Sánchez-Ruiz & Bonaldo, 2018: 59 , figs 3, 4, 7. Male holotype ( IBSP 168419 ) and female paratype ( IBSP 168420 ) from Parque Nacional Valle Nuevo , 18°41’11.9N – 70°35’37.4W, 2041 m, 15 km of Constanza , Province La Vega, Cibao Sur, Dominican Republic, 11.IV.2015, A. Sánchez-Ruiz & J. Cabra, examined.

Diagnosis. Males of S. jimmyi are easily distinguished from other Hispaniolan species by the sickle-shaped RTA ( Fig. 2C ) and by the median apophysis with bifurcated tip ( Fig. 2A ; Brescovit et al. 2018: fig. 4C). Females resemble those of S. cimitarra by the enlarged atrium ( Fig. 2D – E ), but can be distinguished by the dorsal median plate rounded at the distal edge, epigynal posterior plates narrower, barely exceeding the atrial lateral dorsal folds ( Fig. 2D – E , Brescovit et al. 2018: fig. 3C – D).

Description. Male and female described by Brescovit et al. (2018).

Distribution. Provinces La Vega, San José de Ocoa and Peravia, Dominican Republic ( Fig. 9 ).
