Aulacizes Amyot & Serville 1843 View in CoL
Twelve species of Aulacizes are known, of which five are recorded from Argentina ( Young 1968; Mejdalani et al. 2006; Paradell et al. 2012).
According to Young (1968), the male genitalia and the female abdominal sternite VII do not appear to offer conclusive specific characters in this genus; while the external characters are variable to some degree. Azevedo Filho & Carvalho (2006) provide a detailed description of A. conspersa Walker , A. obsoleta Melichar and A. quadripunctata (Germar) , including characters of the female terminalia.
No known copyright restrictions apply. See Agosti, D., Egloff, W., 2009. Taxonomic information exchange and copyright: the Plazi approach. BMC Research Notes 2009, 2:53 for further explanation.
