Genus Eukerria Michaelsen, 1935

Kerria Beddard, 1892

Type species: Eukerria halophila (Beddard, 1892)

Diagnosis: Small-sized Ocnerodrilidae earthworms with weak or better developed gizzard in vii, paired calciferous glands only in ix, proandric, quadrithecal, and quadriprostatic. There are 29 valid species ( Brown et al. 2023), distributed throughout the world (particularly the cosmopolitan species), in Southeast Asia, several oceanic islands, Australia and South Africa ( Blakemore 2006; Christoffersen 2008), though the genus appears to be of neotropical origin ( Jamieson 1970; Righi 1983), where it is more highly diversified (Fragoso & Brown 2007), representing 26 species (counting the ones described here).
