Apiocera braunsi Mel. View in CoL

I have seen 5 males and 5 females of this species from Merweville Distr. , CP. (H. Zinn leg), Jan-Febr., 1947.

The stripes on the mesonotum of the female are not so pure-white as in the male and the vertex is broader. Moreover the greyish-white crossbands on the first four tergites are better developed; the second tergite is greyish-white with two black lateral, triangular, transverse spots and one median longitudinal spot.
