Genus Pseudacteon Loew, 1857 View in CoL View at ENA

The genus includes over 40 species from all over the world except for the Afrotropics. Females of Pseudacteon parasitize worker ants. Given the presence of a rich myrmecofauna in Israel ( Vonshak & Ionescu-Hirsch 2009), an effort should be made to assess the true diversity of Pseudacteon , which may be reasonably high.
