Female (n = 1). Dimensions: length of idiosoma 193 and width 133.
Dorsum ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A)—Prodorsum recurved, 11 pairs of broadly serrated dorsal setae, trichobothrium whip-like, smooth. Setal measurements as follows: ro 13, la 13, bo 28, ex 13, c1 13, c2 15, d1 13, e1 15, f1 13, f2 13, h1 13, h2 13, ps1 absent, ps2 not visible. Reticulate area A (d1)(e1)(f1)(f2)present. Setae f1 shorter than ½ of distance f1–h1.
Venter ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 B)—Anogenital area with four pairs of genital and four pairs of aggenital setae. Epimeral formula: 3-1-4-2.
Gnathosoma — Gnathosoma partially visible from above. Setal pattern of palp (tarsus –genu): 5-1-2, tarsus with seta p' ζ straight with broadened tip. Remaining palpal tarsal setae simple. Cheliceral stilettos length 10; length of palp 40.
Legs —Length of legs I–IV as follows: leg I 70, leg II 60, leg III 58 and leg IV 65. All legs with two claws and a hairy empodium, empodial hooks absent. Solenidion (ωI) on tarsus I short, strongly stout, shorter than half width of tarsus. Tarsus I with ft' slightly longer than ft''. Leg setal formulae as follows (tarsus–trochanter): Leg I: 7 (1ω)- 2-2-2-0; Leg II: 6-1-1-2-0; Leg III: 5-1-0-1-1; Leg IV: 5-1-0-1-0.
Male: Not found.
Material examined. Brazil: One female collected from Vitis vinifera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bento Gonçalves County , State of Rio Grande do Sul, 07/V/2007, coll. Silva, J.F. Deposited at Museu de Ciências Naturais, UNIVATES - Centro Universitário, Lajeado, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil.
Distribution. This is the first report of this species from the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Baker (1968) reported this species from Pandanus sp. plants in Hawaii.
