Dorsum ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 A)—Prodorsum recurved, 12 pairs of smooth dorsal setae, trichobothrium whip-like, smooth, longer than setae. Striation type “ Tydeus ” ( Kaźmierski 1998b). Setal measurements as follows: ro 13 12 (11–13), la 15 14 (13–15), bo 27 27 (26–27), ex 11 11 (11), c 1 12 10 (8–12), c 2 12 12 (12), d 1 12 11 (10–12), e 1 10 11 (10–11), f 1 11 11 (11), f 2 14 12 (11–14), h 1 11 10 (10–11), h 2 11 12 (11–12), ps 1 12 12 (12–13). Body covered with striation.
Venter ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 B)—Anogenital area with four pairs of genital, four pairs of aggenital setae and setae ps 2 in anal region 12 12 (12). Epimeral formula: 3-1-4-2.
Gnathosoma —Setal count of palp (tarsus –genu): 5-2-2, tarsus with seta p' ζ T-shaped distally. Cheliceral stilettos length 12 12 (12–13); length of palp 48 49 (48–50).
Legs —Length of legs I–IV as follows: leg I 120 122 (120–123), leg II 82 86 (82–90), leg III 106 108 (106–110) and leg IV 118 124 (118–130). All legs with two claws and a hairy empodium, empodial hooks absent. Solenidion (ωI) on tarsus I short, slender, shorter than half width of tarsus. Tarsus I with ft' slightly longer than ft''. Leg setal formulae as follows (tarsus—coxae): Leg I: 8 (1ω)-3-3-3-1; Leg II: 6(1ω)-2-2-2-0; Leg III: 5-2-1-1-1; Leg IV: 5-2-1-1-0.
Male: Not found.
Differential diagnosis. This new species resembles Tydeus quadrisetosus ( Schiess, 1981) by having short dorsal setae, not reaching to the base of the setae next behind, and four genital setae. Tydeus quadrisetosus differs from the new species by a having furrow at the level of f1–f2, setae sci much longer, and a more slender idiosoma.
Etymology. The new species was named for the Rio Pardo Valley where it was collected.
Material examined. Brazil: One holotype female and one female paratype collected from Vitis labrusca, Bordeaux variety, Boqueirão do Leão County, State of Rio Grande do Sul, 17/IX/2006, coll.
