Distribution. Xantholinus linearis is known from Russia, Europe, North Africa, Madeira, Azores, Turkey, Georgia, Iran and Kazakhstan ( Herman 2001). This species is introduced in Canada and USA ( Smetana 1982), New Zealand ( Bordoni 2005) and Venezuela ( Herman 2001).
