Syntypes. HNHM Pseudoscorp-182: 1 ex. “1905/1929 Chernes Chyzeri Töm., Det. View in CoL : Dr. Daday Jenő ”, “Szinnaikő” [now Mt. Sninský kameň, Slovakia] [leg. L. Bíró & B. Chyzer] . HNHM Pseudoscorp-392: 14 ex. “1928/1929 Chernes Chyzeri Töm. Det. Dr. Daday Jenő View in CoL ”, “ Lamprochernes chyzeri (Töm.) View in CoL rev. V. Mahnert, X.1974 ”, “Déva, 1881.07.11.” [now Deva , Romania][at the ruins of the fortress] .

Current status. Valid, as Lamprochernes chyzeri ( Tömösváry, 1883) ( Beier 1932b) .

Remarks. The specimens probably represent some of the syntypes of the species. Tömösváry’s original labels must have been replaced later, without indicating the original identifier or type status (see Introduction). The large number of specimens from Deva (Pseudoscorp-392) also supports this, because Tömösváry (1883) indicated in the original description that the species was particularly abundant at that locality.
