macrodactylum Daday, 1889 View in CoL
Obisium macrodactylum Daday 1889a: 132 –133, pl. IV fig. 26.
Syntypes. HNHM Pseudoscorp-560: 11 ex. “816/1888 Obisium macrodactylum Daday Det. Dr. Daday Jenő ”, “Corfu” [ Greece], “ Neobisium macrodactylum (Daday, 1888) View in CoL : 11 ex. Det. S. Dashdamirov, 1990” . HNHM
Pseudoscorp-467: 2 ex. “1882/613-49. Obisium erythrodactylum C.L. Koch, Det. Dr. Daday Jenő ”, “Mehádia, 1881” [Mehadia, Romania], “ Neobisium (N.) m. macrodactylus [sic.] (Daday) SYNTYPES, rev. Mahnert X.1974 ”.
Current status. Valid, as Neobisium (Neobisium) macrodactylum (Daday, 1887) .
Remarks. The code “613-49” is identical to that indicated by Daday (1889a) for the types of this species from Mehadia and their type status was also inferred by Mahnert according to his label from a revision of the material. It is not clear whether Daday wrote ‘ erythrodactylum ’ on the label by mistake, or else revised his own material later and the original labels were subsequently removed, as in cases concerning Tömösváry’s material. The original description mentions only one specimen from Corfu, although the vial contains 11. The reason for the difference is probably a misprinting of ‘11’ as ‘1’.
