Chelifer nodulimanus Tömösváry 1883: 244 –245.
Chernes nodulimanus: Daday 1889a: 118 –119.
Holotype. HNHM Pseudoscorp-143: 1 ex. “1973/1929, Chelifer nodulimanus F. [sic.], Det. Dr. Daday Jenő ”, “Dalmatia” [ Croatia].
Current status. Junior subjective synonym of Cordylochernes scorpioides (Linnaeus, 1758) ( Beier 1948) .
Remarks. The specimen probably represents the holotype of the species. Tömösváry’s original labels were probably replaced later, without indicating the original identifier or type status (see Introduction). Tömösváry (1883) did not indicate a more precise collecting locality, but mentioned that the specimen was probably bought from Böckh by the HNHM. Taking into consideration the known area of Cordylochernes scorpioides , it is supposed that the locality is wrong ( Harvey, 2013).
