Holotype. HNHM Pseudoscorp-842: ♂ “ Tyrannochthonius procerus n. sp. ♂, Holotypus, dét. V. Mahnert 7.1977”, “Congo [ Republic of the Congo], Kindamba , Meya, 1963. XI.9., leg. J. Balogh - A. Zicsi ” [hand-collected in a cave], “Congo-Brazzaville, No. 131, [leg.] Balogh-Zicsi [J. Balogh & A. Zicsi]”.
Current status. Valid, as Tyrannochthonius procerus Mahnert, 1978 .
Remark. One female paratype is housed in NHMG.
