Chelifer tegulatus Tömösváry 1883: 198 –199, pl. II figs 5–8; Daday 1889a: 122 –123, 178, plate 4 figs 11, 13, 15.
Syntypes. HNHM Pseudoscorp-153: 2 ex. “1947/1929, Chelifer tegulatus Töm., Det. Dr. Daday Jenő ”, “Borbátvíz (Hunyad m.)” [now Râu Bărbat, Hunedoara County, Romania] [spruce forest, from under the bark of fallen trees]. Current status. Junior subjective synonym of Rhacochelifer peculiaris (L. Koch, 1873) ( Beier 1932b) View in CoL .
Remarks. The specimens probably represent the syntypes of the species. Tömösváry’s original labels were probably replaced later, without indicating the original identifier or type status (see Introduction). The original description mentions two specimens, which supports the identification of this material as the type series.
