Angela trifasciata Stål, 1877: 62 .
Type locality. Bahia, Brazil ( Stål 1877) .
Records. CeNak: ♀, 16.XI.1970, leg. H. W. Koepcke. ZSM: ♂, 260 m, fogging sample ZSM-HYM-FOG180463, 18.IV.2018, leg. A. Höcherl ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 39–42 ) .
Distribution. Brazil, Colombia, Peru.
Remarks. The male, obtained by pyrethrum knockdown, is rather poorly preserved, but the female fits both Stål’s description and a damaged specimen in the MFNB identified by Giglio-Tos as A. trifasciata . This species was cited from Colombia by Giglio-Tos (1927) and Salazar (1998, 2002, 2003b, 2004), and from Venezuela by Ehrmann (2002). However, the type specimen is from Bahia ( Stål 1877). It remains to be determined whether specimens from western South America are conspecific with the ones from Eastern Brazil. New for Peru.
