Genus Camerobia Southcott

Type species: Camerobia australis Southcott, 1957 ; by original designation.

Diagnosis

Female. Stylophore generally with 4 pairs of peritremes. Counts of setae and solenidia from palptrochanter to palptarsus: 0, 2, 1, 1 + 1 claw, 1 setae + 1 eupathidium + 1 solenidion. Idiosoma with 15–17 pairs (d x and e x may be present) of setae. Genital valves with 1 pair of setae, anal valves with 3 pairs of pseudanal setae. Solenidia situated on apical halves of tarsi I–II. Tarsi I–IV each with a mid­ventral seta. Counts of setae and solenidia on legs I–IV: coxae (excluding 1a, 3a and 4a) 2 + 1 elcI, 1, 2, 2; trochanters 0, 1, 1, 1; femora 5–6, 4–5, 2–4, 2–3; genua 1 + 1, 1 + 1, 1, 1; tibiae 6–7 + 1, 6 + 1, 6 + 1, 6 + 1; tarsi 8 + 1, 8 + 1, 7, 7.

Male. Aedeagus present; tibia I with an additional apical solenidion; tarsi I–IV each with an enlarged solenidion.

This genus contains 6 species: Camerobia australis Southcott, 1957 from Australia, C. southcotti Gerson, 1972 and C. pistaciae Bolland, 1986 from Israel, C. monspeliensis Bolland, 1986 from France, C. rugulosa Fan & Chen, 1997 from China and C. turcicus Koç & Kara, 2005 from Turkey. Distinguishing characters are listed in Table 1 .
