2.1. Cenostigma myabense (Britton) Gagnon & G. P. Lewis var. myabense View in CoL
Taxonomic annotations: — Caesalpinia myabensis var. myabensis , C. myabensis var. hermeliae , C. myabensis var. hornei and C. myabensis var. subglauca are not clearly distinguished, as they overlap in the number of pinnae, pairs of leaflets, secondary nerves, length of the petiole, the leaf rachis, the axis of the inflorescence, the pedicel and the dimensions of the leaflets and the fruits. For this reason, such varieties are not recognized as distinct taxa.
Distribution: —Endemic to central-eastern Cuba: Ciego de Ávila (north-northeast of Velazco, Ciego de Ávila savannah), Camagüey (from Caobilla to Presa Caonao, La Victoria camp, Santa Lucía-San Fernando highway, Cascorro, Céspedes, nearby cuabal to Minas to Altagracia, Monte Grande, Vertientes and Florida savannas), Las Tunas (savannas near the city of Las Tunas), Holguín (between Holguín and Mayabe, Cerro Miraflores, Monte de Caguairanal, Gibara beach, San German, cuabal north of Cañadón) and Santiago de Cuba (hillside thicket in the vicinity of Santiago de Cuba).
