Lectotype (designated by Barreto & Beyra 1998: 182):— CUBA. [Guantánamo, “ Saltadero-Baracoa ”], 1861 [5 July 1861], C. Wright 2360 p.p. (= “480”) (lectotype GOET #4916 View Materials , isolectotypes? GH #65816 , K #264515 ).

Notes on lectotype: —In the protologue of Libidibia pinnata Griseb. the type was indicated by reference to a complete collection, since no particular herbarium was indicated. In this way, all the duplicates of C. Wright 2360 corresponding to this entity (without considering those that under the same C. Wright number belong to Caesalpinia oblongifolia Urb. ) in the herbariums in which they are found are considered syntypes ( Turland & al. 2018: Article 40 Note 1). Therefore, Barreto & Beyra (1998) lectotyped with the material deposited in GOET, as recommended by Howard (1988), who suggests that the names of the Grisebach (1866) species collected by C. Wright in Cuba be lectotyped with materials deposited in GOET.
