Notes. Strand’s (1906a, 1908) descriptions were based on 2♀ 1juv. syntypes from Ethiopia, Somali Region, “Fluss Daua” [=Webi Daua or Dawa, ~ 4°22’N, 41°53’E], and 1♀ from Webi Mane [~ 5°06’N, 42°05’E], all collected by C.F. von Erlanger. The specimens are probably lost and the descriptions do not offer sufficient detail to separate this species from similar congeners, especially from S. turkana View in CoL . Further collecting in southeastern Ethiopia is necessary to decide if S. turkana View in CoL is a synonym of S. zonatus View in CoL or not.
