Genus Homaloxestis Meyrick, 1910 View in CoL
Homaloxestis Meyrick View in CoL is a predominantly Oriental genus which comprises about 50 described species. Four species have been reported from Africa: H. cholopis Meyrick View in CoL from South Africa, H. hemigastra Meyrick View in CoL from Uganda, H. pancrocopa Meyrick from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and H. subpallida Meyrick View in CoL from Cameroon. Janse (1954) described H. lophophora View in CoL from Pretoria, South Africa, but the species was later synonymized with H. cholopis Meyrick View in CoL by Gozmány (1978).
