Revised Diagnosis
With characters of Capsalinae (sensu Egorova 1989). Central haptoral loculus keyholeshaped. Posterior pair of haptoral septa bifid to form 2 small triangular loculi. Haptoral accessory sclerites with distinct pointed distal tip. Dorsomarginal body sclerites in single longitudinal or slightly zigzagged row on either side of body; sclerites crownlike with varying number of cusps. Dorsomarginal body sclerites extend to posterior extremity of body except in C. perugiai where they end in posterior third of body. Isolated anterior group of smaller dorsomarginal body sclerites usually present (not recorded in C. sinuatus ) on left and right side body at level of posterior margin of anterior attachment organs. Pharynx round, without conspicuous constriction. Testes numerous, distributed in Mshaped pattern between intestinal caeca. Ovary lobed. Uterus enters male copulatory organ canal just before common genital pore. Gill or nasal parasites of Istiophoridae .

New synonyms: C. istiophori Yamaguti, 1968 , C. marielenae ( LamotheArgumedo, 1968) LamotheArgumedo, 1996 and C. tetrapteri Yamaguti, 1968 are synonyms of C. perugiai .
