Male macroptera. Body color brown ( Figs 28, 29 View FIGURES 18–33 ). Antennae 6-segmented; segments I–II, VI and apical half of V brownish; segments III–IV and basal half of V yellow ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 34–51 ). Mesonotum with sculpture converging medially, longitudinal division only on posterior third ( Fig. 78 View FIGURES 77–91 ). Fore wing first vein with irregular row of setae; setae almost entirely brown, except for extreme apex light brown; setae length about 0.75 times as long as fore wing width ( Fig. 88 View FIGURES 77–91 ). Tergites III–VIII strongly reticulate laterally. Pore plates on abdominal sternites III–VII, transverse on anterior sternites and progressively smaller and oval on posterior sternites ( Fig. 118 View FIGURES 107–120 ). Females similar, with no pore plates.
Measurements (male in microns): Body length 1475. Head, length 120; width 155. Pronotum, length 105; width 170. Fore wing length 640. Antennal segments I–VI length 20, 35, 67, 5, 42, 55.
Material studied. Brazil. Mato Grosso: Cuiabá , one male on leaves of unidentified plant, 21.iv.2019 ; two females, two males on leaves of unidentified plant, 8.vi.2019; Ceará: Pacoti , one female on leaves of unidentified plant, 12.vi.2018 ; Piauí: Floriano , two females from grasses, 28.iv.2018 , Nazária , one female on unidentified plant, 1.i.2017 (E.F.B.Lima) ( CHNUFPI).
