( Figs 18 View FIGURES 18–33 , 56 View FIGURES 52–64 , 73 View FIGURES 65–76 , 124 View FIGURES 121–138 )

This species was described originally from South Africa but has been recorded widely around the world. In Brazil it has been recorded in Rio Grande do Sul (Endres Jr. et al. 2015), and is here recorded from São Paulo ( Fig. 124 View FIGURES 121–138 ) where it was found damaging leaves of native orchids ( Fig. 133 View FIGURES 121–138 ). As with other members of the genus, this is a dark brown species with antennal segments III–V yellow, the tarsi and apical third of mid- and hind tibiae yellow, and the fore wing extensively shaded with a pale area sub-basally and a diffuse paler area sub-apically.
