Type locality: “zwischen der Ussuri-Mündung und dem Noor” [Noor—a river Naolihe: south of the Khabarovsk Region] [now a territory of the following Far-eastern districts: Khabarovsk, named after Lazo, and Vyazemsky] .

Present status: Tethea albicostata ( Bremer, 1861) : Tetheini.

Nomenclatural notes: the species was described based on a single specimen, a holotype by monotypy; it was finely illustrated in color in ‘ Mémoires de l’Académie impériale des sciences de St. - Pétersbourg ’ 1865, Serie 7, 8(1): pl. 5, fig. 6. This male specimen is kept now in the type collection of ZISP (cabinet 217/drawer 7). It bears the following labels: silver circle, red rectangle “ Maack’ | Ussuri ”, white rectangle “col. Acad. | Petrop.”, red rectangle “ Holotypus. Cymatophora | albicostata Brem., 1861 | design. Dubatolov et | Zolotuhin, 1994” and white “микр. преп. № 15200” [microprep. Nr 15200]. Genitalia preparation is kept separately in a glass vial in ethanol/glycerine solution .
