Pyankovia roborowskii (Iljin) Mosyakin & Roalson View in CoL , comb. nov.
Basionym: Salsola roborowskii Iljin (1955: 136) View in CoL ≡ Climacoptera roborowskii (Iljin) Grubov (1966: 98) View in CoL .
Type:— CHINA: [Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region: Hami] “Tjan-Shan, in desertis Chami, prope pagum Schota. 23 IX 1895, V. Roborowski” 1 (holotype LE-01013412 [digital image!] ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ), isotypes LE-01013413 [digital image!], PE-00024061, image available from http://petype.myspecies.info/sites/petype.myspecies.info/files/00024061.jpg).
Paratype: “Roborowski 1895 21 Сент. Tian-shan, оаЗ. Хамийский, 2000 ф. а. в. [футов абсолютной высоты]. Глинисто- песчанаЯ степь” 2 (LE-01013414 [digital image!]).
Notes: ― We are aware of at least two additional duplicates (see above) of the type cited by Iljin (1955: 138 in Latin and 139 in Russian), and probably there are more in other herbaria. These specimens have the same labels and technically can be considered syntypes. However, Iljin (1955: 139) provided in the protologue the photograph of the plant and indicated that this image was taken from the type (in Russian: “снимок с типа”; Figure 13 in Iljin 1955: 139). That clearly identifies the specimen LE-01013412 as the holotype .
