Philothermus glabriculus (LeConte) ( Fig. 20 )

Range: eastern North America, Ontario and Maine south to Florida and west to Texas. Habitat: rotten logs, sawdust piles, leaf litter, tree holes, and forest debris. Collection Method : searching under bark of dead logs, malt traps, emergence, sifting/ Berlese. Biology : found under bark of maple, hickory, beech, pine, oak, hemlock, and elm. Present Study : not significantly associated with any substrate or forest type.
