World distribution. Chile.

Chilean distribution. From Arica y Parinacota regions to Coquimbo region ( Fig. 220 View FIGURE 220 ).

Altitudinal range. From coastal to inland valley ecosystems (5– 500 m.a.s.l.).

Biology and notes. Toxomerus schlingeri is associated with some exotic grasses such as M. sativa ( Thompson & Thompson 2006) , Salicornia sp. (Francisco Carreño, CSP record), and R. raphanistrum L. (Gabriela Germain, CSP record). Type specimen lost (Danilo Cepeda pers. comm.). Other aspects of its biology and ecology remain unknown.

Conservation status. EN under B1ab (iii) + 2ab (iii) using EOO = 3,296 km 2, AOO = 12 km 2 and five localities (or subpopulations).
