World distribution. Chile.
Chilean distribution. From Valparaíso to Los Lagos region ( Fig. 90 View FIGURE 90 ).
Altitudinal range. From coastal to precordillera ecosystems (5– 2,000 m.a.s.l.).
Biology and notes. Odyneromyia odyneroides is associated with sclerophyllous, Valdivian and Nothofagus spp. forests. All basic aspects of its biology and ecology remain unknown in Chile.
Conservation status. LC; EOO = 81,169 km 2, AOO = 52 km 2 and 12 localities (or subpopulations).
