Diagnosis. The genus differ from other genera by cheliceral teeth 0–1/0; male pedipalpus with hooded paracymbium; median apophysis large; embolus large, most often describing at least half a circle and not widely enclosed by the conductor; epigyne usually a single larger pit (Wunderlich, 2008).
