Material examined. ETHIOPIA: SNNPR, Bench Maji, Bebeka Plantation (1370 m), 14.IV.2015, B. Massa (1Ƌ, BMPC).
Remarks. Our specimen has bright yellow spines with black tips on the hind tibiae, as is described for subspecies dromedarius from Ethiopia. The hind wings however are green-bluish basally, as is the case in Abisares v. viridipennis (Burmeister, 1838) , which is widespread in different countries of East, Central and West Africa (cf. also Uvarov 1943). Based on the color of the spines on the hind tibiae, we identified our specimen as dromedarius.
