Material examined. ETHIOPIA: Gambella, Godere , Baku Lake (1425 m), 16.IV. 4-2015, R.P.W.H. Felix (1Ƌ, RFPC) ; SNNPR, Bench Maji, Dembi Forest (1260 m), 14.IV.2015, R.P.W.H. Felix (1Ƌ, 3♀, RFPC), B. Massa (7Ƌ, 1♀, BMPC) ; Keffa, Shorori Wetland (1610 m), 21.IV.2015, R.P.W.H. Felix (1Ƌ, RFPC) .

Distribution. According to Jago (1995) this species occurs in Somalia, Ethiopia, and from northeast Kenia to north Malawi.

Remarks. This subspecies differs from the typical scalatus by the length and shape of antennal segments ( Jago 1995).
